Graphics Designer
We’re a small team of skilled and enthusiastic people always tinkering with creative and engaging games for live events. We transform regular events into new-gen team buildings and stadium-sized battles by dropping fun games into their regular agenda. We are searching for a new team member who will be the champion of a few key graphic areas.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable with working on a wide range of tasks from game assets to motion designs. We expect you to take charge of the most important ones (game creatives and design, web and mobile UI/UX aspects, animations), and occasionally support the team in other smaller tasks as well (coherent visual brand communications, etc).
Your role in a nutshell:
As a Graphic Designer at Duelbox, you will be responsible for the development and execution of creative digital game concepts, designs, and assets as well as brand and motion design for our visuals. You must possess a deep understanding of design and visual communication. You will play an active role in shaping a new era of mass interactive live games – be it expanding a current product or forging new ones. You’ll be working closely with the Product and Marketing Teams.
What you’ll do:
- Concept, develop and execute the design of games, create assets
- Produce broadcast quality 2D design and animations that stadium-level events require
- Collaborate with account managers, copywriters, multimedia designers, and front-end/game developers
- Lead and direct the visual design from concept to completion for games and in-app content
- Apply brand identity, typography, photography, color, and other ingredients appropriately to create innovative visual solutions that meet business and user needs
What you will bring to the team:
- Passion for design
- Strong design portfolio
- 3+ years of graphic design experience
- A College degree is not required, although we prefer if you have related studies
- Solid knowledge of preferred design toolset (e.g. Adobe products, Figma, etc.)
- A solid understanding of digital game assets, visuals, effects, or animations
- Responsibility for the in-game and brand visuals and cohesion
- Fluent English language skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Self-motivated, organized, and accountable
- Well-developed communication skills including the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to other team members and business partners
- Ability to come in person to the Budapest office at least part-time
We’ll be amazed if:
- You have experience with Motion Design or web animations (e.g. Lottie)
- You’re able to produce content with After Effects and Premiere Pro
- You have experience in creating social media assets
- You can bring a spark and refreshing new ideas to team brainstorming sessions
